There are 121 entries from all over the world on the lists of Columna Medica Baja Poland 2016. Among such names as Nasser Al-Attiyah, Marek Dąbrowski or Krzysztof Hołowczyc the ladies involved the sport boast of strong representation. There will be as many as 16 drivers and co-drivers from beauty side of the rally.

Fans gathered in Szczecin during this weekend will be able to admire the rivalry of such competitors like Ilka Minor, Magdalena Duhanik or Klaudia Podkalicka. The first of them will seat on the right side of the FIA World Rally Championship veteran, Martin Prokop. Experienced Minor is also known to WRC rally fans, as a co-driver of popular Henning Solberg, Peter’s older brother. The Austrian competitor’s career began in 1997, when Ilka started in Tour de Corse together Achim Mörtl.

Magdalena Duhanik will come to Columna Medica Baja Poland 2016 in a very good shape, after a superb debut in the FIA World Cup. Together with her partner, Marcin Łukaszewski, the offroadSPORT Łukaszewski Rally Team members finished the Spanish Baja Aragon on high 7th place.

– Baja Poland is an important event in our calendar, as it is located in my home town Szczecin – says Duhanik. – In each rally we try to fight for the best possible result and obviously it would be the case here. It would be nice to finish on the podium in my beloved Szczecin, but the rally hasn’t started yet and we will have to fight very hard. The competition will be very strong, as it’s a round of the World Cup.

Another female competitor is already quite popular in the world of cross country rallying, though her career began on the circuit racing. Popular Klaudia Podkalicka, will try to repeat her success from last year’s edition of the Polish classic.

– I am really excited before the next round of the World Cup! It is no secret, I am already quite stressed. It is quite common that in front of home public the tension is bigger. Baja Poland is my favourite event in the calendar, it is also one of the best events I attended in my last years. Last season I managed to finish 2nd in T2 class together with Błażej Czekan. It was a huge success and I’d like to repeat it or improving! I know I am well prepared in every aspect and if the machine will allow us to do it, we will fight for the top positions – comments Podkalicka, who was also born in Szczecin.

Julita Małuszyńska will participate in Baja Poland for the second time in her career. The co-driver of her husband Michał, debuted in the rally car last year as a driver and was quite successful, finishing the event on 8th position in T2 class. – Each time I feel great emotions brought exclusively by motorsport. The adrenaline is huge and despite the great effort and moments of weakness, I know it is worth of it – sums up Małuszyńska.

The beauty side of the rally will be also represented by Marcelina Zawadzka,  Brigitte Reitbauer, Inez Kieliba, Rebeka Jankowska, Duangphon Sorrasit, Ewa Soroczyńska, Patrycja Marciniak, Monika Mikiel, Małgorzata Żyła, Agata Stefaniak, Hanna Sobota and Kaja Wojnar
